How do I invest in an Artisan Partners Fund?

Select the appropriate account application to open an Artisan Partners Fund account. If you do not see the form or application you need, contact us at 800 344 1770.

To order an investment kit by mail, submit an online order form.

Artisan Partners Funds are also available with various third-party brokerages firms as part of a No Transaction Fee (NTF) program. Inquire directly with the brokerage firm of your choice regarding Artisan Partners Fund availability and account fees.

What are the investment minimums to open an account in an Artisan Partners Fund?

Artisan Partners offers multiple share classes for its mutual fund lineup. Share class availability varies per fund.

Investor Shares

No load share class offered to members of the general public. Investment minimum: $1,000.

The initial investment minimum for Investor Share Classes is waived if you invest thorough an Automatic Investment Plan.

Advisor Shares

No load share class generally available for investment only by employee benefit plans, clients of financial advisors, clients of sponsored fee-based programs and other investors that meet the minimum investment requirements, which typically contain less expenses than the Investor Share Class, if applicable. Investment minimum: $250,000.

The minimum investment requirements will be waived on (1) certain employee benefit plans that hold their shares through plan-level or omnibus accounts on behalf of participants; or (2) investors who purchase shares through financial intermediaries where (i) the intermediary has entered into an agreement with Artisan Partners Funds or Artisan Partners Distributors LLC and (ii) the intermediary holds shares through an omnibus account, although the intermediary maintaining such an account may impose its own minimum investment requirements.

Institutional Shares

No load share class designed for certain employee benefit plans as well as institutional and other investors who are able to meet the high minimum investment requirements, which typically contain less expense than the Investor or Advisor Share Class, if applicable. Investment minimum: $1,000,000.

Who is eligible to invest in a closed Artisan Partners Fund?

You may open a new account in a closed Fund only if the account meets the eligibility criteria. For eligibility information, refer to the "Who is Eligible to Invest in a Closed Fund" section of the Fund's statutory prospectus or contact us at 800 344 1770.

You can open the following account types directly with Artisan Partners Funds:

How do I change my account information?

As an Artisan Partners Fund shareholder, you can use the Shareholder Account Options Form to make changes to your account, such as:

Once I have an account directly with Artisan Partners Funds, how do I buy and sell shares?

You may BUY additional shares of a Fund via the following methods.*

  • Mail—Send a check payable to "Artisan Partners Funds" to one of the addresses below. Include the Fund Name and your account number on a letter of instruction.

    Cash, money orders, travelers checks, credit card payments, credit card checks, third-party checks, starter checks and checks drawn on non-US financial institutions will not be accepted.

For non-retirement accounts, you may SELL shares via the following methods. Some Funds have a redemption fee, which will be deducted from your redemption amount, if shares are held for 90 days or less.*

  • Mail—Send a letter of instruction to one of the addresses below. Include in the letter of instruction the Fund’s name, your account number, the dollar amount or number of shares to be sold and the signature of each owner as it appears on the account.

    Some redemptions require medallion signature guarantees. Refer to the "Medallion Guarantees" section of the prospectus for more information.

To SELL shares in an IRA account, you must complete and send in a Distribution Request Form to the address provided above. For questions pertaining to IRA accounts, contact a customer service representative at 800 344 1770.*

*You will receive the share price (NAV) calculated after your order is received by the Fund or its authorized agent.

How do I obtain a medallion signature guarantee?

A medallion signature guarantee may be obtained from an officer at your commercial bank, broker-dealer, credit union (if authorized by state law), securities exchange or association, clearing agency, or savings association. An acceptable guarantee uses a STAMP2000 Medallion imprint appropriate for the nature and size of the transaction and has the words "SIGNATURE GUARANTEED" stamped or typed near your signature on this form.

Note: A Notary Public stamp or seal is different from a signature guarantee and is not acceptable in certain situations.

Online Account Access

How do I register for online account access?

Visit our Account Access page to register your account for online access.

Please note: If your account is not held directly with Artisan Partners Funds (i.e. If your account is through a third party), you will need to contact that firm for assistance. If you are unsure, we recommend checking your account statements.

How do I change my User ID for online account access?

Sign in to your account via our Account Access page. On the Account Portfolio page, click My Portfolio. Then click Update Security Settings. Next to your existing User ID, click Edit. Enter your password. Enter your NEW User ID. Click Continue. A confirmation screen will appear. Click Close to return to My Portfolio screen.

How do I change my Password for online account access?

Sign in to your account via our Account Access page. On the Account Portfolio page, click My Portfolio. Click Update Security Settings. Next to your existing password click Edit. Enter your current password. Now enter your NEW Password and verify it in the second box. Passwords are not case sensitive. Enter a Reset Password Question and Answer in the appropriate fields. Click Continue. A confirmation screen will appear. Click Close to return to My Portfolio screen.

What happens if I get locked out of my account?

Contact a customer service representative at 800 344 1770 to have your account password reset. Please have your account number and User ID available for identification purposes.

What can I do via online account access?

Through online account access, you can:

May I request that my account be blocked from online access?

Yes, you may request that your account(s) be coded so they are not available via online access. All requests must be sent in writing to:

Will Joint Tenant accounts be available online under both Social Security Numbers?

At this time, joint tenant accounts are available only under the Social Security Number of the primary joint tenant. Generally this is the individual listed first in the account registration or the Social Security Number which is used for tax reporting purposes.

E-Delivery

What is E-Delivery?

Reduce clutter in your mailbox and help the environment by signing up for E-Delivery, a free service for shareholders who prefer receiving fund documents in an electronic format.

What documents are available through E-Delivery?

Fund documents available through E-Delivery include account statements, prospectuses, summary prospectuses, annual and semi-annual reports, privacy statements and special announcements.

Tax forms are not available for Artisan E-Delivery at this time. To view account information online enroll in Account Access.

How do I consent or enroll for E-Delivery?

Go to Account Access. In the top navigation, click My Profile. You’ll notice two grey boxes under your Total Value. The first box is for E-Delivery. Click Go Paperless. A consent screen will appear—chose which E-Delivery options you would like to receive enter and verify your email and click Consent. You should receive both a confirmation screen and a confirmation email.

How do I update my email address for E-Delivery?

To update your email address for E-Delivery, visit Account Access. In the top navigation, click My Profile. You’ll notice two grey boxes under your Total Value. The first box is for E-Delivery. Click Go Paperless. A consent screen will appear. In order to update your email address you will need to choose which E-Delivery options you would like to receive enter and verify your new email address and click Consent.

You should receive both a confirmation email to both your new and old email address.

How do I cancel OR unsubscribe for E-Delivery?

Visit Account Access. In the top navigation, click My Profile. You’ll notice two grey boxes under your Total Value. The first box is for E-Delivery. Click Go Paperless. A consent screen will appear.

To cancel or unsubscribe for E-Delivery deselect or unclick all E-Delivery options. Then enter and verify your email address and click Consent. Shareholders who cancel E-Delivery will begin to receive paper documents.

My spouse and I have individually registered accounts with Artisan Partners. If I enroll in E-Delivery, will I eliminate paper documents for both of our accounts?

E-Delivery enrollment is based on each shareholder's SSN/TIN, therefore only the accounts tied to that specific SSN/TIN will be enrolled in E-Delivery. A separate enrollment must be made for additional SSN/TINs in the same household.

What happens if I do not receive any email notifications?

If E-Delivery notifications are rejected, Artisan Partners will make periodic attempts over the course of the next three days to resend the email. After three days, E-Delivery enrollment will be discontinued and you will be notified by regular mail to reactivate your E-Delivery preferences. Otherwise, regular mail delivery of paper documents will commence with the next mailing.
